I believe in miracles

I always thought Jesus has a special “in” with God. That’s how he performed all the miracles. But I think one of the most profound verse in the bible is John 1:1. The Word (Jesus) became flesh and dwelt among us. He became like us in every way so that he could mediate on our behalf to God the Father. Now hold on for this curveball. Maybe Jesus performed miracles not from some God power he brought from heaven but by His reliance on God the Father. Likewise the early saints. In context, this finite group of people have only their lifetime to preach Jesus to the entire world-who had not been a the cross or at the asscension. How can you convince people of these unbelievable claims? They had no New Testament to turn to. It’s hard to pull off a miracle these days. We can fly to the moon and swim the the depths. Is it not also a miracle straight from God when you can look in the face of someone who has done you irreparable harm and say I love and forgive you. I believe that miracles are possible and happen. I think we need to be alert for the small miracles in our life that point to God’s direct intervention in our lives.
