Father, can you hear me? When you feel far away from God…

God is no doubt closer to you than you think. His word says blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness. (Matt 5:6) Does that sounds like what your heart desires? Regardless of how you feel, God is always by your side. Always. The theological aguments just confuse the message of God’s love and mercy shown through Jesus. The Pharisees and other religious peoplel of the day were all …about rules and laws and Jesus said love God and love each other sums up the entire law (Matt 22: 37-40). As long as you are in the flesh you will struggle with sin. But the Blood of Jesus is powerful enough to continually cleanse you if you continually seek His face. He will allow you to see with His eyes a desire to love and comfort the poor and broken hearted because that’s what He did on earth. That may take the form of the Peace Corps or missionary work showing kindness to the cashier at McDonald. God is able to use you right were you are. I pray all throughout the day. Praying without ceasing (1 Tess 5:17). I know that God hears my whispers, thoughts, silent tears just as well as He hears my pretty words on bended knee. It took me a long time to find Christians I could “relate” as well as to be comfortable enough in my faith not to feel too worldly for the super Christians and too holy for the casual Christians. God meets each of them and me right where we are. With our desire and His grace and mercy, He is molding us each day to be more and more like the image of Jesus. Be patient with yourself. We are all works in progress. Be Blessed.

I love hearing from you. Your comments and/or questions are welcomed and appreciated.
