2021 The Year of the Remnant.

As I reflect on New Years Eve, I realize that 2020 has broken my heart. Oh I am still blessed. I am grateful for having a job and a healthy family. I’ve spent so many years consumed with the messes in my life and this year I realized that the mess is everywhere. Do we talk Jesus more than we obey Jesus? Than we are Jesus? Social media feels like an evil, but as I said in class last night, we are really a unapologetic version of ourselves online. There are things we wouldn’t say in polite company that are perfectly ok online. People stating that other people aren’t Christians based on anything but faith in the Blood of Christ is…an appropriate word does not come to mind. Even in the letters to the jacked up churches in the NT, Paul still calls them brothers.

I pray that 2021 is the year of the remnant. I pray that we are part of the 7000 that didn’t bow to Baal (1st King 19:18). I pray that we not be taken captive by philosophies, deceit and human traditions (Colossians 2:8). May we return to the mighty God (Isaiah 10:21). May we hold fast until that day when the remnant receives a crown of glory (Isaiah 28:5). May God stir the spirit of the remnant so that we may work on the house of the Lord of host , our God (Haggai 1:14) May we reject ungodliness and worldly passions and live self controled, upright and Godly lives. (Titus 2:13). “The LORD bless you and keep you; The LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26) Be blessed.

Micah 4:7
And the lame I will make the remnant, and those who were cast off, a strong nation; and the Lord will reign over them in Mount Zion from this time forth and forevermore.
