Are you in awe of God. One of the ways God gets our attention is by amazing us. There are 21 verses (according to Sarata.com) that speak about being amazed.

Jesus amazed the people. He amazed them with His miracles, but also His words and teachings. Matt 12:23 “the people were amazed and said is this not the son of (Messiah). He healed a man in Mark 2 and “they were all amazed and glorified God”.

I am amazed when I look at nature-the sky especially. I am amazed when I think about this big ball we’re on hurdling through space. I’m amazed looking at a depiction of the systems of the body and how they all work-cells, tissues, and organs. I’m amazed at the miracles I see every day as God breathes life into things. He breathes life into broken families and broken hearts and broken dreams.

The gospel isn’t about making bad people good. It’s about making dead people alive. I was Lazarus well more than 3 days in a tomb and He raised me to a new life. To an eternal life. I am a WHOLE mess. I am amazed that He still loves me warts and all.

Your faith will increase in the degree to which you daily find reasons to be amazed by God. As your faith increases, you will be better able to trust and lean on the power of Jesus to get you through anything. I have not goodness or righteousness. I depend on God every day to wake me up and create in me a clean heart and teach me how to love like He loves. So stop and smell the roses and be amazed at the God who creates roses and the noses to smell them.
